Pledge of the Communities

In 2002, Dass Bala and Yagum communities￿ people signed contracts with ECHO, promising not to kill the endangered species, even if the animals depredate their livestock. They expressed a strong interest to provide the labor if financial support and technical skills are provided by ECHO to accomplish the construction of predator-proof corrals, freshwater irrigation canals and suspension bridges.

The community members demonstrate their sincere gratitude and willingness to collaborate ecologically with ECHO as a result of our health camps and vocational schools. The children of the two target villages have reported to their parents that the medicine from ECHO has cleared up the ringworm on their faces and bodies, as well as the tapeworms and hookworms that had plagued their stomachs for years.
